Richard's work primarily focuses on issues around race, class, and power. He currently works as a producer at Ideastream Public Media.

Richard believes in community engagement and solutions journalism. He has spent the last five years as a public media journalist, creating engaging and compassionate audio stories and interviews on people, institutions and communities. His passion is cultivating honest relationships with marginalized communities to produce stories on issues  ignored by traditional media. 

He is a graduate from the University of Missouri and the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Resume available upon request.
